While some were lucky enough to start the season during the Christmas holidays, skiers are expected in large numbers for the winter holidays! In just a few weeks for zone A, the February holidays are an opportunity to take a few days off skiing!

The pole plant, the snowplow, the wrist strap... it's like riding a bike, you don't forget it! Today, airlines and SNCF are working to make access to ski resorts easier by increasing the number of open lines!

In this article

1. The Pyrenees!

Family-friendly and welcoming resorts, the Pyrenees have nothing to envy the Alps! To change the scenery, Parisians now have the opportunity to fly to Tarbes from Paris-Orly Airport with HOP! and can reach one of the 12 stations in the Hautes-Pyrénées. A shuttle from 40 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes is set up between the airport and the stations! On the same principle, Air France connects Paris-Orly to Pau and then a shuttle takes you to one of the stations in the N'PY network (La Pierre St Martin, Gourette, Luz-Ardiden, Grand Tourmalet, Barèges, La Mongie, Piau Engaly, Peyragudes). A luxury that is not only reserved for Parisians since the Nantais are offered a 6-day pass for any HOP! ticket reservation to Pau!

You can also reach the Pyrenees from Nice and Marseille airports as low-cost airlines provide a link to Toulouse.

2. The Alps!

Every year, companies provide connections to the main cities of the hexagon. You can easily reach Lyon airport at the gates of the Alps from Bordeaux, Toulouse and Nantes, among others, thanks to low-cost airlines. People from Nice and Marseille can also travel to the Southern Alps thanks to low-cost offers.

3. And what about by train?

SNCF has set up an IDNEIGE offer to reach both the Alps (Les 2 Alpes, La Plagne, L'Alpe d'Huez, etc.) and the Pyrenees (Peyragudes, Grand Tourmalet, etc.) with a train + shuttle solution!

There are also "snow trains" offers to get to ski resorts at a lower cost. For example, the Snow Train in the Southern Alps offers a train + shuttle formula from Marseille and Aix-en-Provence for only €20 round trip to reach one of the 27 partner resorts (Isola 2000, Les Orres, Serre-Chevalier, etc.). On site, discounts on ski passes, equipment rentals and some Nordic activities are offered in addition.

In the Pyrenees, the Skirail offer from Toulouse takes you to the foot of the slopes in less than 2 hours (Ax-les-thermes, Grand Tourmalet, Cauterets, etc.), you can't ask for more!

As you can see, airlines on the one hand and rail companies on the other want to eliminate the constraint of driving hours, traffic congestion, by making many ski resorts more accessible. All you have to do now is manage the parking issue! Do you see where I'm going with this? Admit it, it's convenient to leave your vehicle directly at the drop-off point, especially when we're loaded with ski gear!

For example, a weekend from Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport will cost you €34, from Toulouse Blagnac Airport or Nantes Atlantique Airport €30, from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport €40 and finally from Paris-Orly Airport (available from January 22) it will cost you €50!
