Google Trips, the new application for Globe-trotters

Google Trips

On September 19, Google launched its new application, Google Trips, to help its users organize their trips. A new way to travel? Maybe it is. What to do? Where to eat? Where to sleep? Trips answer all these questions, in direct competition with well-known sites such as TripAdvisor and Booking.

1. What is Google Trip for? 🌍

Google Trips, available on iOS and Android, is the application to use before and during your stay. In concrete terms, it allows you to create your own personalized tourist guide. Indicate where you are going among more than 200 cities in the world proposed to you, and plan your itineraries, the places you want to visit, where you want to eat, your accommodations, and much more.

The application sets up your trip while offering maps, places, and activities not to be missed, local information means of transportation, the most popular routes by city... and all this according to the duration of your stay, your time constraints, and your interests. What more could you ask for?

To bring you all this, Trips relies on the experience of other users, and as you'd expect, on the reviews, ratings, and rankings left on its other travel-related tools, like Maps and Street View.

2. The benefits 💯

Two points are to be noted for this new application, which seems to be well adapted to regular travelers, especially abroad:

- The indispensable offline mode, is to have access to all the organization of your stays, even without an Internet network.

- The possibility to gather your reservations (plane, train, car, accommodation...) thanks to your Gmail account, and to make them easily accessible in Trips, which is not negligible.

- Google Trips (available only in English for the moment) seems to be able to equal, or even dethrone, some applications based on the same principle. It remains to be seen if it will gather good reviews and feedback from its users.
